Firmware update of Rockspace extender can be done by login on the extender page. You can ccess the page using the IP address assigned by the router (Note- 192.168.0.254 or Re.rockspace.local). - Once you login on the Rockspace extender Setup page you need to click on “Administration” option.
- Under the Administration select the option Firmware update.
- You need to locate the file for latest Firmware on your computer.
- Click Install and this will take up to 2-3 minutes to upgrade the firmware.
- During the Update your rockspace extender will reboot, Make sure don’t turn of the power, otherwise there is chance of extender malfunction.
Take a look at the current firmware version.
- In this paragraph, You may see information about the installed and available versions of AP firmware via the Gateway Wireless Controller. This includes the following:
- Firstly, The Access Point Firmware section displays the Firebox’s current Access Point firmware version. This is the firmware version that the Firebox can install on a partnered access point.
- The Version column on the Access Points tab displays the current firmware version loaded on each associated access point.
- However, Monitor AP Status on the Fireware Web UI Dashboard pages or Firebox System Manager for more information about the Gateway Wireless Controller.
