unable to connect the AC750 to wifi

I keep getting an “error” on the connection.  have tried to move the extender next to the wifi (4inches).  please advise.

Dear Rosjon Morgan,
Please prefer the WPS method to connect the extender with the router. All you need to do is just simply press the WPS on the router first and then press the WPS on the exender.
